"Risky" Boll converted to Volkswagen final

    GUANGZHOU, March 24 (Xinhua) -- Germany's world No.1 table tennis player Timo Boll moved one step closer to retaining the Volkswagen Cup title here on Wednesday.
    Boll came back from 2 games down against Japan' s Jun Mizutani in their semi-final encounter of the men's singles event and wrapped the match 4-2.
    It was their fifteenth meeting on the international(国际的国家的) stage, where Boll got his fourteenth win in Guangzhou this time.
    Playing at full speed, Jun Mizutani captured the first two games; seeking to execute his forehand topspin at every opportunity, which helped he seize the initiative.
    "Jun was very aggressive, I was really surprised how positive he was at the start of the match" , Boll said.
    However, after losing the first two games, Boll performed a flawless game in the third; he dominated from start to finish and reduced the deficit¹ to one.
    Jun Mizutani said he was a little nervous at the moment when Boll made the equalizer. "He changed his type of service; I was feeling a bit of a misfit."But this was only the start of his nightmare. A convincing third game success for Boll was followed by fourth and fifth wins.
    The sixth game saw the momentum² in the German world N0.1, who finished his conversion³ with an overwhelming score of 11-4.
