[05:11.48]There are more than 42 countries where the majority of the people speak English.

[08:34.30]How did these differences come about?
[08:38.24]There is no quick answer to this question.
[08:42.50]At first the language in Britain and America was the same.
[08:48.27]In 1776 America became an independent country.
