《高中英语》（New Senior English for China，以下简称为 NSEFC），是为了适应新形势发展的需要，由人民教育出版社根据教育部制定的《英语课程标准（实验）》的精神编写的。
本套教科书（NSEFC）正是为了顺应教育课程改革的趋势，与九年义务教育阶段英语学习相衔接，并以实现高中英语课程总目标为目的而编写，力求“使学生在义务教育阶段英语学习的基础上，进一步明确英语学习的目的，发展自主学习和合作学习的能力；形成有效的英语学习的策略；培养学生的综合语言运用能力。”
