There a bomb has ripped through a crowded bus stop in Jerusalem, killing1 at least one person and injuring more than 30 others. Authorities said the bomb was hidden in a bag at the side of the road near the bus station. It's the first terror attack in Jerusalem in seven years, and police have blamed Palestinian militants2 for the blast.
In Syria, security forces have opened fire on anti-government protesters at a mosque3 in the city of Deraa. At least five people died and scores were injured. Police also attacked mourners at the funeral of two people killed during an earlier protest.
