 And leading our news this morning, former Guantanamo Bay detainee David Hicks has heckled the Attorney at a vent¹ in Sydney. 

 

George Brand was speaking at the human right’s awards when Mr. Hicks shouted from the audience that he’d been tortured for 5.5 years during his detention². Their burst follows the release of a damning US Senate report into the CIA’s interrogation methods after September 11.  

 

“What do you have this right about, you know who I am, we know each other. Would you make comments of my question?” David Hicks there.

 

Victorian Health Department has issued a warning about a dangerous drinking on unpasteurized milk. The department has confirmed that a child died recently and four others became ill after drinking a cosmetic³ milk product. It says unpasteurized milk can cause a potentially fatal / illness. 

 

Police were investigating the death of a man who was found blood-even injured behind / hospital in Sydney’s southwest overnight. An off-duty doctor found the 29-year-old who had head and leg injuries, and died later in hospital. Police are questioning a 30-year-old man who was arrested at the scene. 

 

Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani schoolgirl shot in the head by the Taliban has received her nobel peace prize in Oslo. The 17-year-old is the youngest-ever Nobel laureate and shares the award with Indian child rights campaigner Kailash Satyarthi.
