Next week’s meeting¹
A: Let’s meet before next week’s meeting, Jane. I want to kick² around some ideas with you.
B: No problem³. I’ve got⁴ a really light week. Anytime’s fine by me.
A: Well, let’s plan⁵ to get together next Monday afternoon, around three?
B: All right, I’ll put you in my book.

下周会议
A：咱们下周开会前先见一面，简。我有些想法想和你交换一下。
B：没问题。我一星期都不太忙。对我来说任何时间都行。
A：那好，咱们就下星期一下午见。三点左右如何？
B：行，我在本子上记一下。
 

1 meeting   

n.会议；集会

参考例句：

• Will you be at the meeting?你会来开会吗？
• We would like to hold the meeting at an early date.我们希望早日举行这次会议。

2 kick

v.(get的过去式)得到，猜到，明白

参考例句：

• I just got some bad news.我刚得到一些坏消息。
• I have got far too much work to do.我要做的事太多了。

5 plan   

n.计划，策略，方法；v.计划，设计，意欲

参考例句：

• What do you plan to do during the holidays?你打算在假期里做什么？
• I talked with him about our plan,and he wanted in.我同他谈了我们的计划，他想参加。
