 　　Just then, three young girls entered the lobby. They were giggling¹ and squealing².

　　此时，三个年轻的女孩走进了大厅。她们都在格格笑着，叫嚷着。

　　One of them pointed³ at Louis. "There he is!" she screamed.

　　其中的一个把手指向了路易斯。“那就是他！”她尖叫起来。

　　"There he is! I'll get his autograph."

　　“那就是他！我要得到他的亲笔签名。”

　　The girls rushed up to Louis. The first girl held out a pad and pencil.

　　女孩们冲到了路易斯身边。第一个女孩递过来一本拍纸簿和一枝铅笔。

　　"May I have your autograph?" she asked.

　　“可以给我签个名吗？”她问。

　　Louis took the pencil. Very gracefully⁴, he wrote "Louis" on the pad.

　　More squeals⁵, more giggles⁶, and the girls rushed away.

　　叫嚷声更多，格格声也更高了，最后，女孩们都跑开了。

　　The clerk watched in silence.

　　The clerk hesitated.
