I’m Catherine Callaway at the CNN center, glad you’re with us. Here’s a look at what’s happening NOW IN THE NEWS.

Iran says that it's successfully tested two types of long-range missiles today. Iran’s state-run television reports the missiles can hit targets up to 1250 miles away, and if that’s true, that means the US bases in the Middle East as well as cities such as Moscow and Athens are within striking distance.

Crews are working frantically1 to clean up a 10,000 gallon oil spill in the Houston Ship Channel, that’s one of America’s busiest ports. The coast guard says that a ship collided with a barge2 Friday night, putting a large gash3 in the fuel tank . All traffic in the Houston Ship Channel's now been closed.

President Obama will travel to Denmark to try and bring the 2016 Summer Olympics to the United States. A senior White House official says that Mr. Obama  will fly there Thursday to pitch Chicago as the Olympic host. He will be the first US president to make such a personal appeal.

Chicago police are using some amateur video that shows a 16-year-old boy being beaten to death to search for suspects in the case.
Some people blame gang violence for the brawl4 that killed Derrion Albert. There are 4 people that are being questioned in the case. Alberts' family says that the honor roll student was attacked Thursday because he wouldn’t join a neighborhood gang.

Oscar winning director Roman Polanski could be extradited to the United States on a decades-old warrant. Back in 1977, he pleaded guilty to having sex with a 13-year-old girl, but fled to France before he was sentenced, Saturday Swiss authorities arrested him as he entered the country to be honored at a film festival there.

And those are the headlines for you this hour, stay with CNN for more on these stories and other news of the day.
