今天我们来讲一下面试工作的英语。 

I have a job interview¹. 

今天我要去面试一个工作。 

Okay²， Victor， remember how we’ve talked about resume³ and cover⁴ letter? 

Of course⁵ yes， Nancy.

Okay， well， if you send a company⁶ your resume and your cover letter， and they like you， they may call you for an interview. 

非常有意思，老外的规则是这样：如果你把你的resume和cover letter寄给他们，如果他们非常喜欢你就会让你去interview. 

That’s when you go in and talk to them about， and they see if you’re good for the job. 

当然他们要亲自去看看你是否适合这份工作。 

And if they really like you， you may get a second interview. 

如果你能得到第二次的面试机会，说明他们非常的喜欢你。

2 Okay   

(=okey，O.K.)adj./adv.好，行，不错；n.同意

参考例句：

3 resume   

v.（中断后）继续，恢复；n.摘要，简历

参考例句：

• We'll stop now and resume at two o 'clock.我们现在停下来，到两点再干。
• My resume shows that I have the right qualifications for the job.我的简历表明我正符合这项工作的条件。

4 cover   

n.盖子，覆盖物；v.覆盖…，扩及，掩饰

参考例句：

• Under cover of the dark,the dog was stolen.在黑夜的掩护下，狗被偷走了。
• The book needs a new cover.这书需要装个新封面。

5 course   

n.课程，讲座，过程，路线，一道(菜)

参考例句：

• The college course was then cut to three years.大学学制那时缩短到三年。
• Of course,I don't always sleep in the afternoons.当然，我并不总是在下午睡觉。

6 company   

n.公司

参考例句：

• Is this your company?这是你的公司吗？
• Which company was that?那是哪家公司？

7 later   

adv.过后，后来；adj.以后的，更后的，较晚的

参考例句：

• He didn't turn up until half an hour later.半小时后他才出现。
• This part of the hospital was built on later.医院的这个部分是后来增建的。
