 　　Christmas is an important holiday that is celebrated¹ around the world. 圣诞节是一个全世界都会庆祝的重要节日。

　　You probably know about the food, trees and gifts. 你可能知道圣诞大餐、圣诞树和圣诞礼物。

　　You might know the story of the birth of Jesus, and some carols, too. 你可能也知道耶稣降生的故事和一些圣诞颂歌。

　　But not everyone celebrates Christmas in the same way. 但是不是所有人都用相同的方式来庆祝圣诞节。

　　In Russia, for example, people couldn't celebrate Christmas for many years. 比如说在俄罗斯，人们有许多年都不能庆祝圣诞节。

　　Christmas is now celebrated again, but it's mostly a religious² holiday. 现在圣诞节又可以庆祝了，但是它主要是一个宗教节日了。
