Hi there! I'm Brooke Anderson and welcome to Showbiz Tonight podcast now. This is where we go inside Hollywood's biggest stories. Right now "bad girls gone good". Poward could borrow a lesson or two from her * , Nicole Rechie. She recently told People Magazine that motherhood had changed her life for the better, saying quote:" Now when I look back on it , I was a different person last year than I'm now. And listen sometimes I'll be here and I'll think to myself: I used to be fun, what I'm not fun anymore? I have all those feelings, but you know what, I'm who I am, I'm still fun, just not in that way." Well it's good to see this bad girl turn good and she's not the only one. Think about all the bad girls out there in Hollywood who turn their lives around for the good: ***. So how bad did it get before they turn it around and how did they do it? Share with tonight's AJ Hammer investigate: Bad girls gone good.
They wrote a book on "being naughty". Sexy, talented women who push the limits of being bad in their youths but mature into some of the most respective1 women in Hollywood. Mary J. Blige had one of the most extrordinary and public tranformations from bad girl to good.
"This is a celebration of the growth I've made, the growth that all my fans, that all of us, you know, have made together." She's the grand new world-winning reigning2 queen of hip3 pop and soul. But this * battled a hard core4 addiction5 to drug and alcohol6.
"She's** when she's just eleven ** calls old Jannis so she came on stage, you know, she's smoking weed, she's drinking coc(cocaine)."
Her transformation7 came when she met her current husband, **. She tells Showbiz Tonight he's saved her life: "Myhusband definately came in my life and helped me out, you know, saved me." Even better, Blige's turned her heartache into another reason why she's so beloved8.
"She, you know, ** actually **. The turning points for her is ** 'no more drama'. Mary J.'s future journey in her life is reflected in her music and I think, uh, the audience's response to that is as much as they respond to her voice."
Another Showbiz Tonight's favourite "bad girls gone good": Fergie. She battled this serious ** addiction before she made it big in Black Eyed Peas.
"Well, the funny thing with Fergie is that * different because most of her bad girl staff things was before she was /luing/ a public light. I mean she is a child star, uh, I mean, stars' overstated."
Yeah, that might be overstating it. Fergie was a regular on that "All ladies' kid show", kids' incorporated9. It was later when she was in her real first girl group, Wild Orkids, that things got interesting.
"She started, you know, like being in a lot of ecstacy. She *, uh, going out to clubs all the time then she got seriously * the **. "
She said kicking the habit was the hardest boyfriend she ever had to break up with.
"She's been through a hard time. Maybe you know, she behaves like this wild * cat. But as you know she's a little more in control now."
