In an interview on Extra, Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton was asked if she would pick her own husband, former President Bill Clinton, as her running mate.

Clinton replied that she had actually thought about it.

And although, she said, he'd be a good VP… she added that he's not eligible¹.

Clinton said that under the Constitution because he has served his two terms,he'd be prevented from serving as Vice² President because it would be impossible for him to ever succeed to the position of President.

Constitutional scholars say it's not actually clear whether former President Bill Clinton could serve as Vice President.
