Following the President’s warning on Twitter that Iran is “playing with fire,” the Treasury¹ Department imposed fresh sanctions on Tehran in a move aimed at punishing for country for its ballistic missile program.

13 individuals and 12 entities² face new restrictions³ for supporting the missile program, having links to terrorism or providing support for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard.

The Trump⁴ administration has taken a hard line on Iran, including banning its citizens from entering the U.S. For its part, Iran has urged the U.S. not to overreact to its tests of ballistic missiles.
