  Disaster relief teams are being dispatched to the region, where over 160-thousand people have been forced from their homes.
 
  The flooding has taken down over 6-thousand buildings across the province.
 
  Direct economic losses are already estimated at some 8.5-billion yuan.
 
  Meantime, 22 people have been killed in flooding in Guangdong.
 
  Neighboring Hunan and Guangxi are also reporting a number of deaths.
 
  The Chinese government has upgraded its emergency response to try to cope with the situation.
 
  Chinese President Xi Jinping is urging local authorities to try their best to save lives.
 
  It is the worst flooding seen in China's northeast, also the heartland of the country's grain production, in over a decade.
