It's a pine tree -- this one.And this is definitely not from 'round here. 这是棵油松 而且肯定不是生长在这附近

See? This has been swept downriver.It just shows the power of this river when it's in flood. 看见没  它应该是从上游流下来的 恰恰显示了河流在洪灾时的冲刷力

The pine would have come from way further up high. 这棵油松很可能是从远处山上冲下来的

But, actually, it's a fat pine, as well, this,which is good for me,cause I can use this for tinder. 但它依然十分粗壮 这对我来说是件好事 因为我可以用它来生火

Fine pine tree like this can be up to 80% flammable resin³, 像这样健壮的油松 最高可能含有80%的易燃油脂

making it very easy to light,even in the humidity of the jungle. 即便是在如此潮湿的雨林中 它也非常容易被点着

Good thing about these little pine sticks,even if they get wet -- you know, if it rains, 这些油松树枝非常有用 即使被弄湿--比如下雨了

or they take a dunking once they shake off,get a bit dry, they're still gonna light, 或者浸到水里 一旦将它们从树上弄下来  稍微晾干  就可以用来点火了
