 (BBC; News) A new study suggests dolphins are more intelligent than we thought and a great deal more vain.

（英国国家广播公司报道）一份新的研究显示，海豚比我们想的更聪明，而且也更爱虚荣。

When given the chance，dolphins would look in a mirror and gaze at markings drawn¹ onto their bodies.

若给予机会，海豚便会照镜子，凝视着画在它们身上的记号。

Scientists say this behavior is thought to signify self-recognition and this is the first time a non-primate has shown it.

科学家表示，他们认为海豚这种行为代表自我辨认的能力，而且这是非灵长类动物首次表现出这种能力。
