 (NAIROBI, Reuters)Deaths of flamingos¹ have revived fears that pollution is menacing the future of the majestic² pink birds.

（路透社内罗毕电）由于红鹤大量死亡，让大家不禁再度担忧，污染正危及这种大型粉红鸟的未来。

Hundreds of dead flamingos were found on the shores of two lakes in western Kenya.

肯尼亚西部的两座湖岸发现了数百只已经死亡的红鹤。

Researchers said the exact cause of their deaths remains³ a mystery, but several toxins⁴ have been identified inthe bodies of the birds.

研究人员表示，造成这些红鹤死亡的原因仍不得而知，不过他们在这些鸟的体内检测出好几种有毒物质。
