1. President Barack Obama tonight delivers his first State of the Union address. Today's speech will be heavy on jobs, health care and a revived "Yes, we can" attitude, but the real test will be how the president connects to the public. A new Gallup Poll finds Obama is the most politically polarizing president in recent histories.

 2. A conservative activist¹, who caused problems for the community-organizing group Acorn², is now accused of trying to interfere³ with the phones in Senator Mary Landrieu's Louisiana office. A magistrate⁴ set bond for James O'Keefe and three other men at $10,000 apiece after each made an initial court appearance.

 3. North Korea says it's firing artillery⁵ shells off its west coast as part of an annual military drill, adding it'll keep right on doing it. South Korea says the North fired about 30 rounds off its coast overnight. The South responded by firing 100 warning shots.

 4. Toyota is suspending sales of eight models and halting production at six North American plants. The company recalled more than 2 million vehicles last week because of reports of sticky gas pedals. Engineers are working on a fix for the American-made part, but it's not clear when production of Camries, Corollas and some other Toyotas will resume.
