3. Authorities are calling a Colorado math teacher a hero after he tackled a man armed with a high-powered rifle just after two teenage students were shot outside a suburban² Denver middle school. Both students are expected to survive. The suspect is in custody³. The shooting happened just miles away from Columbine High School, the site of one of the nation's deadliest school shootings. 

4. The Northeast just preparing for a double whammy of winter. The National Weather Service says areas of central New York through New England could get anywhere from six to 20 inches of snow by Wednesday night. A second more powerful storm is expected to bring more snowfall and dangerous winds Thursday into Friday.
