3. Moammar Gadhafi's forces have driven back rebels who had begun advancing westward². Loyalist forces using tanks and rockets outgunned the rebel groups. President Barack Obama says arming the rebels is under consideration.

4. And 30 years ago today President Ronald Reagan was shot outside the Washington Hilton. Reagan, Press Secretary James Brady and two others were wounded. Gunman John Hinckley has been committed to a mental hospital since the shootings.
