1. Firefighters were working to contain a fire at a southeast Kansas chemical plant after an explosion injured one employee. The explosion occurred early Tuesday at the Airosol, Inc plant.

2. President-elect Donald Trump¹ held a meeting at the New York Times office Tuesday with reporters and editors, says he discussed a range of topics from his meeting with Obama to potential business conflicts. The meeting comes a day after Trump offered a record session with various television networks at Trump tower.

4. And it is a labor⁴ of love. Harvesting cranberries⁵ is a time-consuming process, often starts months before the end about the thanksgiving table, but cranberries bogs⁶ in Washington State are producing the nation's 5th largest harvest of cranberries .
