North Korea put on a massive military display, showing its intercontinental missiles amid rising international tensions on a holiday to mark the birth of the country's founding ruler.

With Tax Day approaching, thousands turned out in Washington and elsewhere to demand that President Donald Trump¹ release his tax returns. Fights broke out between pro-and anti-Trump demonstrators in Berkeley, California with police making a number of arrests.

More than 100 people were killed when a bomb went off just outside Aleppo, Syria at a bus depot² used for evacuations. There is no immediate³ claim of responsibility, but pro-government media and Syria's opposition⁴ exchanged accusations⁵ over the carnage.
