Cuban state media is reporting 10 deaths following hurricane Irma despite the country's usually rigorous disaster preparations. More than a million were evacuated3 from flood-prone areas as the storm pounded the island for two days.

And some students in Houston, Texas are finally starting their new school year following a two-week delay because of the damage from hurricane Harvey. Another round of children will go back next Monday, starting off in a temporary school building until their severely6 damaged one reopens at the end of September.
