Mourners in Huston have been going to a church to pay their last respects to President George H. W. Bush. The 41st President's burial is planned for Thursday on the ground of his presidential library in College Station.

Two US marine¹ corps² warplanes collided and crashed off Japan's coast on Thursday. At least two crew members were found but up to five more were missing.

A school bus carrying high school basketball players collided with a truck in central Illinois. Police say the truck driver and an adult on the bus died. All of the students went to hospitals.

And hundreds of Paradise, California residents were allowed to return to their fire-damaged neighborhoods. Last month's massive wildfire forced about 50,000 people out of Paradise and nearby towns.
