A day after the New York Times published a list of questions presented to President Donald Trump¹'s attorneys by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, Trump is again blasting the investigation² of what he calls "a made-up, phony crime". He tweets, "it would seem very hard to obstruct³ justice for a crime that never happened."

US border inspectors⁴ allowed some of the Central American asylum-seekers to enter the country for processing, ending a brief impasse⁵ over lack of space. But the immigrants who crossed Mexico in a caravan⁶ may still face a long legal path.

Fired FBI director James Comey says President Donald Trump's political attacks on the FBI are making the country less safe. In a telephone interview with the Associated Press on Tuesday, Comey said Trump's blistering⁷ attacks on FBI leadership are undercutting public respect for the bureau.

U.S. researchers are seeking 1 million volunteers to share their DNA⁸ and ten years of health habits for science. The National Institutes of Health wants to learn how genes⁹, lifestyles and environment interact, to better customize health care.
