A massive explosion was reported early Wednesday at a chemical plant in east Texas. Evacuations were ordered around the plant. Windows were blown out miles away.

More than two dozen people are now known dead from the earthouake that struck Albania on Tuesday morning. More than 600 people were injured. Rescue crews are searching through collapsed¹ buildings for survivors².

Southern California firefighters are hoping rain will help to douse³ flames in foothills around Santa Barbara. Fire is threatening more than 2,000 homes and burned close to 7 souare miles by Tuesday night.

Two fierce winter storms are expected to disrupt Thanksgiving travel across much of the U.S. One storm is dropping snow from Rockies to Upper Midwest. The other is bringing snow to California and Oregon.
