 “I don't care for such roses as this!” cried Marygold. “我不喜欢这种玫瑰！”玛丽金哭着说道。

“It has no smell, and the hard petals¹ prick² my nose!” “它没有气味，坚硬的花瓣刺痛了我的鼻子！”

The child now sat down to table, but was so occupied with her grief for the blighted³ roses that she did not even notice the wonderful change of her china bowl. 这孩子现在坐到餐桌上，但是她为枯萎的玫瑰花感到悲伤，甚至没有注意到她的瓷碗发生了奇妙的变化。

Perhaps this was all the better. 也许这样更好。
