　　People affected¹ have little or no control over their obsessive² thoughts and compulsive behaviors, which tend to be time consuming and interfere³ with work, school or social life to the point causing significant distress⁴.

　　得病的人不太能或根本无法控制执迷的念头和冲动行为，那会耗费时间而且干扰工作、上学与社交生活，甚至会引发严重的忧郁。

1 affected   

adj.不自然的，假装的

参考例句：

• She showed an affected interest in our subject.她假装对我们的课题感到兴趣。
• His manners are affected.他的态度不自然。

2 obsessive   

adj. 着迷的, 强迫性的, 分神的

参考例句：

• Some people are obsessive about cleanliness.有些人有洁癖。

3 interfere
