　　For example, if somebody else gives you a slightly different account of how things were, it can alter or even completely replace your memory. And eventually these new memories gradually migrate further into the cortex becoming your truth.

　　例如：如果别人向你讲述过往的某些事时，有些微不同的说法，很有可能就会改变，甚至是完全取代了你对那些事情的记忆。渐渐地，这些新的记忆就会进一步植入你的大脑皮质区，最终就变成你所认定的事实。
