Topic 1 - New Year resolutions

 

New Year's resolutions are a bit like babies: They're fun to make but extremely difficult to maintain. The year 2017 is at the corner. Have you set resolutions for what you'd like to achieve in the New Year? And how many of you really stick to achieving your last year's resolution?

 

Topic 2 - The China's children animation¹

 

A six-year-old girl from Changzhou falls out from the balcony after trying to imitate a scene in the animation 'Boonie Bears'.The girl is locked at home while her mother goes out to buy food. After a while, the little girl feels scared and decides to look for her mother. She then recalls a scene from "Boonie Bear" where one character, Guang Touqiang, manages to climb along sewer² pipes. The little girl attempts a similar stunt³, but unfortunately, she falls down before she reaches to the sewer pipe. The girl suffers multiple injuries including bone fractures and damages to internal organs.

 

Topic 3 - Most popular baby names of 2016 in China

 

China is one of the most heavily populated countries in the world. Chinese names are interesting in that there are virtually infinite given names and a relatively⁴ small set of family names. The way parents name their babies evolves with the transformation⁵ of times. What are the top picks of baby names of 2016?
