and so saying I was unmethodically rushing up stairs again empty-handed, when Mrs.Hussey interposed the mustard-pot and vinegar-cruet, and the entire castor of her countenance³.   我叫喊着又调头向楼上冲去。 胡赛太太的脸色就像把她手里的瓶子中的东西搭配在一起的模样，她伸手拦住了我：

Look here, said the landlady⁴, quickly putting down the vinegar-cruet, so as to have one hand free; look here;  干什么？她放下手里的瓶子，叫着，

are you talking about prying⁵ open any of my doors?—and with that she seized my arm. What's the matter with you? What's the matter with you, shipmate?  我说你要干什么？撬门？你怎么啦？船友！
