A leisurely¹ coffee in a quaint² café is old part of Parisian life. But could this French tradition be under threat from this? The Whif as it's called is a plastic inhaler that dispenses³ tiny coffee particles into the body. It’s the brainchild of David Edwards.

This is Whif coffee. When I whiff, it’s like a sip⁴ of coffee. And if I whiff the times I empty my Whif, And I've received the caffeine content of small expresso.

The Whif could target the commute⁵ coffee rush, satisfying that morning caffeine craving⁶ with just a few puffs⁷.

But a waiter in a Paris coffee shop was confident that the new product would not affect his livelihood⁸.

Replace coffee? That, never, never. To start with, you don’t get the taste of coffee at all. You have this sort of powder in your mouth which is absolutely horrible in your mouth. It’s not nice at all. And yeah,also, look, I just serve the coffee with bread. Would you put your bread? You can’t even dip your bread in your coffee.

Whif chocolate is gaining popularity from Paris to New York as a replacement⁹ for after dinner chocolate and with children in the playground. But whether these customers would ever put down their cups and take up the Whif remains¹⁰ to be seen.
