 Intensifying clashes in Libya and protests in Saudi’s oil-producing eastern provinces helped to send the price of crude oil above one dollar in early trading on Friday. French crude futures¹ for April reached 115 dollars and 95 cents per barrel before falling back slightly. US crude futures also rallied over a dollar to hit 103 dollars per barrel before receding² a bit. As investors³ keep a close eye on events in North Africa and Middle East, analysts⁴ say there is little confidence propose negotiations⁵, but Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez will proved be successful.
