Intensifying clashes in Libya and protests in Saudi’s oil-producing eastern provinces helped to send the price of crude oil above one dollar in early trading on Friday. French crude futures1 for April reached 115 dollars and 95 cents per barrel before falling back slightly. US crude futures also rallied over a dollar to hit 103 dollars per barrel before receding2 a bit.
