A: What's up, officer?
B: Are you aware that you ran through that stop sign?
A: There was a stop sign?
B: How could you not notice it?
A: If there really was a stop sign, I couldn't see it because of the overgrown bushes¹.
B: You're right. The bushes are covering the sign.
A: If I saw the stop sign, I would've stopped for it.
B: Now that I think about it, I can see how you missed it.
A: Am I getting a ticket for this?
B: I'll let you off with a warning².
A: Thank you, I really do appreciate that.
B: Don't worry about it. I need to have something done about those bushes.
