　　When we say the world, we mean the planet¹ Earth². 当我们说世界一词时，其实指的是行星地球。

　　The world is more than 4.5 billion³ years old, so it has a long history. 地球已超过45亿岁了，所以它有着漫长的历史。

　　It is a place for people to live. 地球是人们定居的地方。

　　It is a place for animals and plants to live. 地球是动植物生存的地方。

　　Do you know how many people live in the world? 你知道世界上有多少人吗？

　　The number of people in the world is 6.7 billion.  世界上的人口数量是67亿。
