　　A role¹ describes what function³ a person has in society. 角色描述人在社会中所起的作用。

　　People have their roles to perform. 人们都有各自需要扮演的角色。

　　For example, soldiers' roles are to protect their country. 例如，士兵的角色是保家卫国。

　　Teachers' roles are to teach students subjects and to lead students to the right way. 老师的角色是授课、引领学生步入正道。

　　Doctors' roles are to treat sick people. 医生的角色是治疗生病的人。

　　Police officers' roles are to help people in trouble. 警察的角色是帮助受难的人。

　　And without question, students' roles are to study and learn. 毫无疑问，学生的角色是研究和学习。
