英闻天下——581 Chinese Driver Hits Policeman to Escape Punishment

 A driver hit a traffic policeman to escape punishment in Zhengzhou City, central China's Henan Province.

The unidentified female driver was asked to pull over when she ran the red light, but she refused to show her driving license¹.

Then she suddenly accelerated the car, throwing the policeman onto the hood² of her car.

The driver drove the car at a speed of over 70 kilometers per hour for one kilometer before she was stopped by other cars.

Feng Yi was a driver who helped to stop the car.

"She was forced to stop before the police station on Jiuru Road on Tianyun Street by me and another two drivers. The traffic policeman was in a dangerous situation. He would have fallen off if her car suddenly braked or turned."

The driver's husband arrived at the site soon after she was stopped. However, they still refused to show their driving licenses³ or identity cards.

The driver is in criminal detention⁴. The case is still under investigation⁵.
