老公：这么晚了，还在淘宝呀？

Honey : It’slate, you're still shopping on taobao?

小凡：嗯，马上要过年了，准备买些年货。

Fan: yeah, Spring festivalis coming in about a week so I’m getting ready to buy a few things.

老公：你没看工商总局发布的监测报告呀，淘宝网的正品率还不足四成呀，我简直都不敢网购了，你竟然还买得不亦乐乎？

Honey: Haven't you seen the report issued¹ by SAIC that said less than 40%of the things sold on Taobao are authentic²? I'm scared tobuy things online yet it doesn’t bother you a bit.

小凡：我这儿买的都是小姐妹们开的店铺里的，知根知底的，质量应该没问题吧。

Fan: Allthese things I bought are from the shops opened up by my friends. I know them well so it's ok.

老公：哦？你们公司私下开网店的人还不少呢？

Honey : Oh, I didn’t knowthat there's so many people opening up online shops in your company.

小凡：这个年代你不做电商，都会被认为是土鳖呀！

Fan: In this era³, ifyou don't do online business, then you’ll be considered out of date.

老公：这话什么意思呀？

Honey: What do youmean by that?

小凡：不是开玩笑的，就我们挣那点儿工资，哪够日常开销的呀！我们那帮小姐妹们，私下都搞副业，然后在公司里一宣传，大家有需要的就都会买的。再说了，都是熟人买卖，跑得了和尚也跑不了庙。

Fan: I’m notjoking. We couldn't make ends meet just by the salary we earn. All my girl friends sell something during their spare time and then they tell otherpeople in our company about what they sell. So if someone needs something,they’ll buy it. That's all because we know each other. You’ll run into someone selling something sooner or later.

老公：你们可真清闲，再看看我们公司，项目是一个接一个，永远也做不完。人永远都是不够用的，加班加点活儿都干不完，哪里还有时间做电商呀！

Honey: Yourjob seems so laid back. Look at our company, we have back to back projects that we’ll never finish. There's always a hugeshortage of workers. Even working overtime⁴ and adding extra help still doesn’tsolve the problem. Where could we find the time to do online business?

小凡： 瞧你这话说的，我们不能跟你们上市公司比，你们公司的年终奖，都赶上我们一年的工资了，而我们的年终奖，要等第二年夏天才发，苦命呀！

Fan: What do you mean? Our company can’t hold a candle to your listed company. Your year-end bonus⁵ alone is almost how much we make in a whole year. Speaking ofyear-end bonus, we can't even get it until the next summer becausethey’re afraid ofus changing jobs. How unfair!

老公：谁让我是养家的人呢! 压力山大呢

Honey: Why doI have to be the person who supports the family! I’m really stressed⁶ out. (It’sso stressing/ What a mountain of pressure)

小凡：是呀，现在家里又多了个小宝贝，花销增加了呀，咱们一家子全靠你啦！

Fan: Yeah,now we have a baby in our home and our expenses have increased. Our wholefamily is counting on you!

老公：好啦好啦，你别不平衡了，我努力挣钱，你努力花钱。赶紧淘宝，早些睡觉啊！

Honey : Ok ,relax please and don't complain any more. I'll work hard to earn money and youtry hard to spend money. Ok? Please buy what you want quickly and goto sleep early.
