Gnawed³ by anxiety and resentment⁴.

丁香一样的芬芳，

The worries of lilacs,

Feeling melancholy⁶ in the rain,

Plaintive⁷ and hesitating.

哀怨又彷徨

Silently she comes closer,

她彷徨在这寂寥的雨巷，撑着油纸伞

Closer,giving me

像我一样，像我一样地 ，默默彳亍着，

A glance like a sigh;

冷漠，凄凉，又惆怅。

Then she floats past

她默默地走进，走进，又投出，太息一样的眼光， 她飘过

In the mournful melody of the rain,
