Hi there, I'm Ricky from the BBC World News for Schools. It's Tuesday the 10th of May.

Coming up:

?Japan's earthquake victims go back to school.

?A Mummy's head returns home to New Zealand.

?And good news for gamers!

First to Libya, where the United Nations are so worried about the effect fighting is having on people that one of its top officials, Valerie Amos is asking both sides to take a break...

CLIP: "To enable those who want to leave those areas, where fighting is going on, to leave. To enable urgently needed humanitarian1 supplies to be brought in. To enable us to make sure those who are wounded, or need medical assistance, that they get it."

The UN is particularly concerned about the port of Misrata, where there are reports of food and water shortages. Fighting between anti government rebels and Gaddafi's forces has been going on for several months now, but even with help from foreign countries the rebels are struggling to take control of the country.

Now, it's almost two months since a massive earthquake hit Japan, triggering a tsunami2 that destroyed huge areas of the country. Well all these weeks later children in the worst affected3 parts are beginning to return to school. But even though going to class makes life a bit more normal, the earthquake has meant big changes. Classrooms are packed because there's a shortage of schools, and pupils have to wear face masks because of the dust. This teacher says many pupils are also having to cope with really sad experiences...

Clip: "Everybody here has suffered. We've seen parents, families, homes washed away. I believe what we teachers can do is support the children when they are ready to talk about it."

Next, the mummified head of an ancient warrior4 is heading home to New Zealand after spending more than 100 years in a museum in France. It was taken from New Zealand as a reminder5 of battles fought between the French and the Maoris who lived there. The return of the head follows years of campaigning by New Zealand.

And for today's question we want to know what flightless bird New Zealand is famous for? Yesterday we asked you what famous volcano can be found in the Bay of Naples? And the answer is....Mount Vesuvius!

Next some footy, Liverpool have a good chance of reaching the Europa League after a resounding6 5-2 victory over Fulham!

CLIP: "Cleared away by Schwarzer and then hit into the net by Maxi Rodriguez. Stabs the cross, a cross-goal...Maxi Rodriguez - it's two-nil! Kuyt shot on the turn and it's gone in! Here's Rodriguez, Rodriguez with a shot, and what a shot as well. It's his second hat-trick of the season for Liverpool! Suarez is into the box, he runs the goal keeper, and Suarez finishes!"

Talk about action packed - and tonight will see Tottenham, who are in 6th place, meet 4th placed Manchester City.

And finally, good news for gamers! Sony says it hopes its PlayStation Network will be back online by the end of May. The network allows game lovers all over the world to play each other, but the company shut it down down last month after hackers7 managed to steal millions of people's personal details.

OK, that's all from the World News for Schools team. We're back tomorrow.
