The final collection of sketches focuses on what remains³ of the Romans in Britain. The legacy is partly in physical features – for example buildings, place names or Roman roads. But the influence of the Romans is also to be found in many of the customs and practises Britain has adopted – the Roman calendar, the legal system, aspects of language and grammar.
