Manchester United has sacked its manager, David Moyes, following a season of abysmal² performances that have knocked the Red Devils' standing³. For the first time in 19 years, the club did not qualify for the Champions League, prompting Mr Moyes's dismissal. We hear from fans, commentators⁴ and analysts⁵ about how the club, which is firmly among the elite⁶ of sporting brands, has found itself scratching its head over where it all went wrong. As Saudi Arabia prepares to take the title of world's tallest building, we find out why corporations and countries compete over reaching for the sky.
