Business Matters: New MEPs Arrive In Brussels 29 May 14
Thu, 29 May 14
As new far right MEPs take up their seats in Brussels, we ask: Are European politicians facing a crisis of legitimacy1? And how do you feel about self-driving cars? Google is building one from the ground up. But will people buy it? Guests San Francisco public radio host Alison van Diggelen and Alex Frangos of the Wall Street Journal in Hong Kong discuss these and other issues with presenter2 Jon Bithrey. Also in the programme: a group of authors - four of fifteen who've collaborated3 on a single novel called Keeping Mum. We ask them how it's possible to keep such a large group focused on a single plot. Jennifer Pak reports from Kuala Lumpur on why Cadbury's is having to recall its products in Malaysia, and Bridget Carey - a senior editor at CNET - explains why Apple have paid $3 billion for Beats by Dre.
