This week on Business Scotland we're tracking the downward trend of Brent crude oil, the benchmark which has fallen from $115 US dollars last June, to less than $50 in the past week's trading. While lower oil prices should boost UK economic growth, the price fall is not being seen so positively¹ by many in north-east Scotland. Douglas Fraser's been taking the global view, from Dakota to the Persian Gulf², to find out why it's happened. And he asks what it means for Scotland's oil and gas industry.
