　　Our friend Jack² is giving an update on the Costa Rican project. Dan is against the idea, because as production manager, he doesn’t want to lose all his staff. The HR manager, Angie, also doesn’t want to lay off her US staff, and is worried about the difficulty³ of hiring workers in another country. Jack tries to defend his plan, but has difficulty supporting his argument.

　　我们的朋友杰克提议将哥斯达黎加的工程升级。丹反对这个提议，因为作为产品经理他不想失去自己的员工。人事经理安吉也不想解散公司的美国员工，而且担心在另1个国家雇佣工人的困难性。杰克想为自己的计划辩护，但是在论证支持自己的观点时遇到了些困难。

1 series   

n.连续；系列

参考例句：

• The students have put forward a series of questions.学生们提出了一系列问题。
• He gave forth a series of works in rapid succession.他很快连续发表了一系列的作品。

2 jack   

n.插座，千斤顶，男人；v.抬起，提醒，扛举；n.（Jake）杰克

参考例句：

• I am looking for the headphone jack.我正在找寻头戴式耳机插孔。
• He lifted the car with a jack to change the flat tyre.他用千斤顶把车顶起来换下瘪轮胎。

3 difficulty   

n.困难，费劲；难事，难题；麻烦，困境

参考例句：

• If there is any difficulty,please let us know promptly.倘有困难，请迅速通知我们。
• A little difficulty like this is nothing to us.这点困难算不了什么。
