Legal advice
Marshaller1 Pormer was a young lawyer.
One day a neighbour entered his office, and asked, "What can I do if another man's dog entered my yard and killed one of my chickens?"
Mr. Pormer replied ,"That the damage done could be clacked from the owner of the dog."
"Well,"said the man,"Since it was your dog, you might pay me the worth of chicken about one dollar, Mr Pormer."
Mr. Pormer smiled as he handed the man his the amount named, and said,"Now then,as I have paid all that I owe you,don't you think it's only fair if you set off the matter a little bit you owe me?"
"But..." protested2 the neighbour,"I don't owe you a penny!"
"Ah..." smiled Mr pormer, "Don't you? Can you pay me five dollars for the legal advice which I gave you concerning3 the loss of your chicken?"
