 　　Maria Sharapova dropped a huge bombshell onto world tennis last night when she admitted she had tested positive for a banned substance at January's Australian Open.

Reading a written statement to a host of journalists at the press conference, she said she took 'full responsibility' for the test failure.

　　The highest earning athlete in any female sport said that she had been found to have taken Mildronate which was prohibited from January 1 this year.

　　The International Tennis Federation² has confirmed the star will be provisionally suspended from the sport March 12.
