霍金:200年内移民外星球可免人类灭亡

    According to the Daily Mail of August 9, Professor Stephen Hawking¹, the renowned² astrophysicist, warned that the human race would become extinct if it were not to look to the outer space within the next 200 years.
    “But I am an optimist³. If we cannot avoid disaster for the next two centuries our species should be safe as we spread into space,” said him.
    But he warned that mankind was entering an increasingly dangerous period. “Our population and use of the finite resources of planet Earth are growing exponentially along with our technical ability to change the environment for good and ill,” said him. So the only oppoortunity for survival of the human race is to spread civilization to the outer space.
    Hawking said, “ We have made remarkable⁴ progress in the last 100 years but if we want to continue beyond the next 100 years our future is in space。”This is why he approves of the development of manned space flight.
