From 1993 to 2003, the number of Chinese people choosing overseas destinations for their holidays increased rapidly from less than 5 million to 20 million, and then to 70 million in 2011.

　　What exactly contribute to this phenomenon? Reasons can be listed as follows: for one thing, the authorities have issued some preferential policies to promote the development of the overseas tourism industry, which encourages a sudden emergence¹ of travel agencies that can provide customers with convenient overseas tourism services.
