    (单词翻译:双击或拖选)

So, you have the perfect job right now. You are able to maintain a good work-life balance and the monetary1 side of things also looks good.

It is that phase of your professional life where you are looking for some stability at work. You don’t want to shift jobs and move around places for the foreseeable future. After all, who doesn’t want security in life?
However, you must never give up thinking about a career path because of job security. Never fall under the false pretence2 of a certain future – for the future is everything but certain. Nobody ever knows what the future holds. You can imagine, guess and predict what it holds, but you can never know for sure. Hence, the best security lies in being prepared for the future. This holds true in all walks of life, on a personal as well as professional basis. Every person who wants to move ahead in life must have a well thought out career plan in place.
  1. Mission Possible
It is impertinent that you have a fixed3 career goal in mind when you start working. Over the course of time, with experience and knowledge, there may be a few modifications4 to your career goal based on what suits your abilities and area of expertise5. However, there has to be a center point around which your goals are focused. The only way to achieve a target is by planning and the same applies to one’s career as well. You will never achieve your career objective if you do not plan accordingly. This is why planning is all the more important from an achievement point of view.
  2. Learning and growing
One thing that you never stop doing in life is learning. You start off the moment you are born, and carry on learning till your very last breath. When it comes to the workplace, there is a lot of ‘professional learning’ to be done. However, accumulating all the knowledge is going to be useless if you do not put it to good use. It is but obvious that with more knowledge and skills, you are bound to become more valuable an asset to your company, firm or organization. In such a scenario6, it is always good to look for different career paths where you can make better use of your skills and competencies. Loyalty7 to your current firm is one thing, but wanting to move ahead in life and develop as a person is definitely more important. Planning will help you achieve this target with ease.
  3. Job satisfaction
Not everyone is lucky enough to have landed a job which is perfectly8 tailored to their needs and abilities. There are a lot of factors which contribute towards job satisfaction. After talking with your colleagues and seniors, you can get a good idea of how things work and whether you want to continue with your career at that place. This is an important factor which will make you realize the importance and help you chalk out a career plan for yourself.
Stagnancy9 is not a positive factor in the company hierarchy10. Everybody has the desire to grow and advance in their careers. A well laid out career plan will make it easier for you to decide how you want to progress in your career and what steps you have to take to reach your target. With proper planning and execution, there is no target which cannot be achieved if you are determined11 to succeed no matter what comes your way.
